Why write for us?

Information:

Why Write For Us?

Whilst we cannot offer you any financial incentive for writing reviews for us, we can offer you many other benefits. Some of them include:

  • Free publicity for your company, organization, consulting service, training service, product, website, newsletter, book, etc.
  • To gain experience as a writer.
  • To get publishing credits. This can be important if you want to begin writing magazine articles or books, and you don't have any writing credits to include on your resume.
  • An opportunity to share your knowledge with others. We all learn unique skills on our job that others don't know, and many of us like to share this knowledge.

If you write more than one article for us we can offer you your own publisher profile page. On here you can feature your own biography, resume and contact details.

What type of reviews are we looking for?

In general, we are looking for reviews of any software available. At TECK Reviews we aim to offer a large, diverse selection of reviews for all audiences, so any review you have to offer us on software will be considered.

Review Guidelines

Your review should encompass the following:

  • Reviews should ideally be over 1,000 words. However, this figure is flexible either way as we're looking for quality, not quantity.
  • Include lots of practical advice based on your own experiences.
  • The review should start with an introduction to the product.
  • The review should outline the product's key features in detail outlining both the pros and cons of each.
  • Don't send us a review if you have any direct or in-direct financial interest with the company that is making or selling the product.
  • The review should offer a summary of the advantages and disadvantages at the end, followed by an overall conclusion.
  • The review should offer a mark out of 10 for the software to one decimal place e.g. 8.6/10

How do we select which reviews to publish?

When you send us a review, we evaluate it using these guidelines:

  • Does it fit within our stated writer's guidelines?
  • Do we already have a review for this piece of software (we are always open to new reviews if a new version of the software is released)
  • How much writing experience does the writer have?
  • How does the submission compare to other submissions that we have been current submitted?

If we decide that we like the review you have submitted, we will contact you, letting you know when the review will be published on our website. If we don't decide to publish your review article, don't take it too hard. We encourage you to send as many reviews or articles as you like.

What Rights to Your Submissions Do We Want?

When you send us a review, we want your permission to publish it on our website, only. We will not publish it elsewhere, and if you should ever want us to remove your tip, review, or article after it has been published, we will do so.

Will You Publish Articles or Reviews That Have Been Printed Elsewhere?

No, we only publish original content.

How Do I Physically Submit My Review or Article?

We ask that you submit the review in notepad (.txt) format. If this is not possible, then we can accept articles in another format. When submitting your reviews, please follow these suggested guidelines. If you don't follow them exactly, no big deal, but it sure will save us a lot of time if you do.

  • At the top of your review include your full name, mailing address and email address. Please also include your website if you wish to publish that alongside your name in the review.
  • Seperate each paragraph with two carriage returns.
  • Headings should have two carriage returns above and below to indicate them.
  • You can submit your review by sending us an email here. In the message box please do not post your review, simply post what you are planning to review and we will contact you back with the necessary information.

All reviews must be original

We do not accept any content that is not 100% original and created by you. Plagiarism in any form is not permitted.
